In 1978, after 22 years with the U.S. Marine Corps, Walter Jabs decided to pursue his life-long dream of following in his father's footsteps and operating a home improvements company. With Wally as the one-person crew and his wife, Madeleine, as the one-person office staff, Wally's Workshop was formed. Many years of hard work and a drive to excel formed a strong working base, allowing the company to grow steadily.
In 1985, Wally, Madeleine and their sons, Chris and Tim, established Jabs & Sons Construction, Inc., with Madeleine as President and Wally as Vice President.
With the continued emphasis on quality construction and client satisfaction, the company continued to grow. In 1995, Jabs Construction, Inc. was formed. The company has been completing all types of quality projects. The design/build team of Jabs Construction has been focusing on providing our clients with solid, workable designs and constructing projects with craftsmanship.
Jabs Construction, Inc., currently has the following management structure:
Christopher W. Jabs - President
Chris, a master carpenter with over 25 years of experience, is the field crew supervisor. He oversees all aspects of the construction on the project sites, directs our carpenters, reviews material inventory and coordinates subcontractors.
Timothy L. Jabs - Vice President
Tim became a registered architect in 1990. In addition to doing all the in-house architectural design, he also completes the following duties: initial client contract, project estimating, proposal development, project manager and marketing.
Colleen (Jabs) Eller - Office Manager
Colleen, a sister of Chris & Tim, supervises the office staff, handles all bookkeeping tasks, sets new client appointments and prepares proposals & contracts.
Madeleine C. Jabs - Founder/Consultant
Madeleine, a Notary Public, retired in June 2004 after more than 26 years of service to the company. She continues to serve in a consulting capacity providing a multitude of experience and information.
Walter L. Jabs - Founder/Consultant
Wally, also retired, has over 45 years of construction experience. Wally is an active member of the Woodbridge Rotary Club.
